It is an epic overflowing with heroes and hopefuls, scoundrels and screwballs. It is a saga spanning the quest for racial justice, the clash of labor and management, the transformation of popular culture, and the unfolding of the national pastime. Here is the story of a nation at work and play.

I LOVE KEN BURNS DOCUMENTARIES. EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT PARTICULARLY A BASEBALL FAN THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SERIES. 3 PAWS UP FOR KRISTI AND ABBY TABBY - NOT FOR POOR QUALITY, BUT FOR LEVEL OF INTEREST FOR ME. IF YOU ARE A FAN OF "AMERICA'S GAME" YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Classic. I have never played the game, but Burns creates a story that encompasses America and its history, not just sport. Americana at its finest.
His “Civil War” series is equally engrossing.
