A much-appreciated return-to-form for M. Night Shyamalan. Even though the Cinéma Vérité thing has been done to death, it is actually effective in this film's storytelling. The alternating tones of creepiness and humor make for a rather decent way to kill 94 minutes. The alternate ending was ... Read More »

I can't even give it one star.
This is one of, if not the worst movie, I have ever seen. Not something I would have expected from
M. Knight Shyamalan who
gave us the brilliant movie The Sixth Sense! Maybe my expectations were high but I couldn't lower them enough to find any redeeming quality of this movie. The worst thing about this movie is, I will never recover the 1 hour and 34 minutes I wasted on watching it!

Very boring.... and a dissapointment from M. Night Shymalan....

This movie was hilarious, I was laughing the whole the movie. Overall it's a good movie with a big twist, it's not that scary for a horror movie, but with the genre of the movie there were jump scares. But really it's more comedy.

This movie is more of a comedy than horror movie. The story is quite clever and the plot twist near the end really caught us off guard. We watched it with our teenage daughters and we gasped and laughed the whole time. There are memorable lines that we have repeated since watching. We are now renting it for the 2nd time. We recommend it!

The movie “The Visit” is a terrifying thriller about two young siblings, a brother and a sister, who go for a visit to their grandparents’ house, while their mother is on vacation. The siblings seem to record almost every part of their lives and the movie is mostly told through the perspectives of their cameras. Initially, things seem very normal as the children warm up to their grandparents. The grandparents act as one would expect of them until things begin to look suspicious. As the movie progresses, we see that there is something clearly wrong with them. The children pick up on the oddities and try to compromise, but things just get weirder and weirder. Although there are no supernatural elements to the movie, it is still terrifying with its jump scares and suspense. 3/5

This movie was a total waste of time. Incredibly boring and not even a second was scary. The great scary movies are longer gone! And the plot? Seriously whose mother would send her children alone to a grandparents' house, when she did not see them herself for twenty years? A pretty weak (and predictable) plot.

I am a fan of M. Night Shymalan's early work. This one sucks. Definitely not scary.

Was more like a reality show.
A real dud. Best not to watch before bedtime. I am not in to horror movies.

At the end of high school, I fell in love with a substitute English teacher. It was quite a scandal. Corin didn't start out a bad guy, though. We were together about 10 years and we had two kids. And then he fell in love with someone in a Starbucks, and moved to Palo Alto, California.

Becca: Our mother, Loretta Jamison, is dating an eligible and rather rakish-looking man named Miguel Diego Torres. He's in love with her. We've decided to promote this union by giving them time. They're going on a trip. Mm-hmm. A Royal Caribbean cruise. Your basic beach cruise. We're visiting our grandparents, whom we have never seen. We don't know their temperament or their proclivities.
Tyler: Yeah. And we don't even know what they like. They--They could be scrapbookers. They could think boy bands are cute.

Tyler rapping: Girl, I'm chillin' again I'm feelin' again. I'm like Iron Man and Batman. I'm a hero again. Oh! You think I'm little, but last month I grew an inch and a quarter again. You think you're too good for me, but that's really a joke. 'Cause, see, that doesn't bother me. 'Cause I'm not a sensitive bloke, oh! Now, in the end, you'll be in my bed, we won't be just friends. You'll write inappropriate texts and hit "send".

Tyler rapping: ... So here's a few things T-Diamond learned from visiting elders. Adult diapers
come in many a name. There's Attends and Depends, and Medline and Prevail. But they all the same. They keep your ...
