What a heartbreaking book. From the first page, you know something terrible is going to happen to Michelle, and let me warn you - it does. You, the reader, know exactly what kind of a person Devon is from the get go, but Michelle's experiences have lead her to a place where what Devon does feels like love and protection, not exploitation and abuse. It's sadly believable. A short read, but a weighty one!
