30 Days of Night was one of the undisputed success stories of modern comics, spawning a bestselling trade paperback, a major motion picture deal, and the attention of thousands of fans longing for an innovative tale of terror. Now the same creative team revisits Barrow, Alaska, the town where it all began, as the long night creeps once more over the tundra. Some things may have changed, but the horror remains.
A graphic novel that is strong on the graphic. Like a lot of good horror stories, the intense and violent "30 Days of Night" has a simple, but clever premise: a brood of vampires descends on a tiny, out of the way Alaskan town that is in darkness for an entire month. Much mayhem ensues. There will be blood! The artwork is terrific. Also a major motion picture!
Mindblowing and utterly terrifying artwork from Ben Templesmith highly complements this absolutely perfect, high concept script & realistic dialogue from writer Steve Niles.
A great complimentary tale to accompany the duos seriously underappreciated Criminal Macabre work together.
A must read for any comic book fan, or any horror fan.
So... this is it? This is the infamous 30 Days of Night Horror-comic that shook the comic industry?
The plot is simplistic. There's no build up. There's no tension no character development... Steve NIles is a fan of horror movies but even some of the worst horror flicks to a better job of build up and story telling.

Thought the artwork was awesome and I really liked the story as well.

cool
A fun follow up to the first book. It makes more sense if you've read Dark Days and is not as unique at 30 Days on Night, but still worth picking up.
It's not an entirely original take on vampires, but it is a great read.
It's so nice to see an author who's willing to represent vampires as monsters and not melancholic, brooding, complainers.
Awesome, just re-read it. Really shouldn't have even been a movie.
The original (and best) of the 30 Days of Night series. Despite the gore and horror, it is a touching love story.

I give this comic a rating of M: for Meh...
