This is a primer on just how devastating tornadoes can be. The focus is one day in 2011 that was the worst single day for twisters in North America, 62 of them just in Alabama - and the personal stories of many who died, and lived. This book gives a lot of reasons as to why everyone should have a weather radio ... as well as what to do and not to do if a storm comes. (Opening up your windows is NOT on the to do list.)

So this book is an awesome story about multiple tornado strikes in the US mid-eastern interior. It tells about the human element as well as giving a few stories at ground zero that involve being inside the twisters... or under the twisters in storm shelters. It also tells about the people who helped clean up the mess and aided those who were traumatized by this incredible storm. Great book.
