You know what I found to be quite ironic about The Matrix Reloaded? - The highlight of this overloaded, futuristic saga literally came down to a violent, high-speed car chase along some busy California freeway.

The following is a quote from the Architect - "There are two doors. The door to your right leads to the Source and the salvation of Zion. The door to your left leads back to the Matrix, to her (Trinity) - And to the end of your species...... As you so adequately put it - The problem is choice..... But we already know what you are going to do, don't we?.... Already I can see the chain reaction - The chemical precursors that signal the onset of an emotion designed specifically to overwhelm logic and reason. An emotion that is already blinding you to the simple and obvious truth - She is going to die. And there is nothing you can do to stop it."

Looks to me like most of the commentators see movies just as entertainment and they don't see the symbolic messages(double talk) in them. Neil Anderson is the New Son of Man (Neil=New, Andros=Human), the New Messiah, who will conquer the "agents," who just multiply and fight constantly. Those agents are us, the old-type human crowd. The God-like figure says he will make a new, perfected creation by eliminating the freedom of choice ( the freedom, the free will of men). The future society will be like bio machines, totally controlled workers without a free will. This is the meaning of this movie, but the Average Joe can't see symbolic meanings, only literal happenings and, of course, "good fights." Just watch, eat hamburger, drink beer, belch, no brains, no perception, this is the present human crowd, who are the Agents of this movie. In the future they will be replaced by the New Son of Man, who will live in a virtual reality, while doing his actual work. The button t the back of the head of the figures in the movie is the Brainchip, which will eliminate individual predatory instincts of the present men. The future is for the Bio Robot, this is the meaning of this movie, who will replace the present individually animal-like, agressive humans.

Between what The Oracle, The Merovingian, The Architect, and, even, Smith said, I thought that these characters were all a bunch of devious, double-talking charlatans who tried to fill our eager, putty-like brains with a whole lot of pure bunk.

I don't know about you, but I thought that Neo and Trinity made for a pair of lousy on-screen lovers.

Watching these two "go-at-it" during the celebrations down in Zion was about as interesting as listening to The Architect go on & on & on with his long-winded spiel concerning the in's & out's (no pun intended) of The Matrix. - or The Counciller's idiot ramblings about "What is control?" - or The Oracle's preposterous bunk.

From my point of view, this film certainly left a whole lot to be desired. I felt cheated and dissatisfied. It was basically a waste of my time.

This is memorable, although it is not as good an effort as the first film.

This film had some nice elements from the first including Trinity beginning the movie and her continued mastery of motor vehicles. The best part of this film for me, besides the continuing philosophical discussions, was the inclusion of Lambert Wilson and Monica Bellucci. They had some of the best lines in the film and Wilson had charisma to spare. They added a nice, jaded element in contrast to the pure love of Neo and Trinity.
Further, The Merovingian pisses; he wouldn't be caught dead "peeing".
The soundtrack was also excellent.
Morpheus was more irritating here than he was in the original.

Keanu is the best - that's all that needs saying. What a guy!

This movie is very explicit with bad symbols, swear languages, and sexual content, but overall (the plot), it's good. PS: the second disc isn't a part of the movie

A good sci-fi film with plenty of well-orchestrated action, mostly with CGI. If you are really into this kind of things then you should watch it on the big screen. The plot is a bit too complex to follow. If you are a computer geek it helps a little. The depiction of a world we hope we will never become is visually stunning and credible.

Is it just me? - or - Does anyone else out there also think that it totally sucked that "The Oracle" was, in fact, nothing but a fraud? 'Cause, hey, all that she turned out to be was just another program from the machine room, meant only as one thing - Another form of control.

What I did like about this film was the up-graded "Agents". Yeah. They were cool dudes. I also really enjoyed all of the fighting that went on in this film. To me, the fighting was probably the only worthwhile reason for bothering to watch this picture.

Sexual Content: There was a terrible sex scene between Neo and Trinity. These 2 losers made for the worst screen-lovers that I've ever seen.
