Although one critic described this film as being too much like a Hallmark production, I found its subtle story to have emotional impact that many current films lack. The writer stays true to real events, rather than manipulating characters and events for creative purposes. She thus resurrects a fascinating, but threatening historical period that is fast being forgotten in the 21st century.

A movie probably worth watching because of the subject matter, which is entirely outside the field of experience or thinking for most of us. A German POW camp during WWII and the people who worked there. Not a great movie but an interesting one.
