Fun to read as far as a reminder of the comics of yesteryear but also a glaring example of why, for better or for worse, Brian Michael Bendis needed to do what he did in order to restore (or originally install??) the Avengers into Marvel's flagship franchise. And this is coming from me, pretty much a diehard Avengers fan able to stomach almost anything that the creators have thrown at us as the fans. And having said that, this volume's line up of Avengers may be my least favorite in the history of the book.
