Some very good Apron Lore herein and a few cute patterns, as well. I have a feeling this was the "original" apron book, because all the others I have seen follow a similar formula.

The Apron book is full of beautiful pictures and a heap of 1950’s nostalgia. There are reminiscing stories about the aprons of childhood past as well as patterns to create new aprons. Staff picks 2009

Regarding old fashioned male BBQ Aprons, "These clever male aprons imply that for Mom, in her everyday apron, cooking was a chore. But for the Backyard Daddy at the grill, it is all about having a good time"
