For the first 40 minutes I wondered if this was another quit in the middle film (like the one preceding it) or would interest keep me... what a different culture, a total surprise ending for me. I had to keep reminding myself to steer away from taking the very WASPy view - poor country, little opportunity to advance or expand thought & experience or education to life beyond ones own 'village'.

It seemed slow to get to the heart of the story, or I was just impatient. There was much to be guessed about since the story left out much & I had to depend on subtitles. The ending was worth the wait in my case.

After you watch this touching, organic film, check out the "Making of...".
