Reasonably good but certainly not great. Dalziel is a bit crude and rude at times.

Writing on the episodes are not even. Several are laughable and it must have been difficult for actors not to maintain composure. This seventh season is a bit tiresome because Dalziel is so brash and bullish...as if he respects no-one. Pascoe therefore comes off as "whiney".

Overall you can clearly see that actor Warren Clarke is anything but "Dim" as knew him from the 1971 masterpiece "A clockwork orange". But Warren Clarke is a bit of the bull crashing through the china shop: only the strongest can retain their posture when he is done with them.

Very Good series! Especially, the last 2-part one is absolutely fantastic..
