Each series seems to be getting better with the development of the characters now firmly set and storylines that continue through. Its a rare gem of a dramedy that can keep this flowing so well. Looking forward to the next and next and next ones.

Excellent, as usual, for Doc Martin.

excellent. Love the characters, especially the abruptness and social ineptitude of Doc. Find the pharmacist irritating, but that's probably a successful portrayal.

All of these comments are so positive so I'm sorry to be a wet rag on it all. I loved 1-3 but found 4 (which I just finished watching) to be much less warm, especially the Doc and Louisa (I guess they're mad at each other?) and Aunt Joan. I noticed that there were different writers for each episode so maybe that's the problem (for me). Possibly the first 3 were written by the same person with the same heart. I hope 5 will have some of that warmth back.dk

I'm sooo entertained by this smart, uproarishly funny, yet dramatic, sensitive series. From my real-time visits to Cornwall, Doc Martin has furthered my resolve to find and buy a house on that fabulous coastline -- the reality is sublime and definitely is pushing me further into my 5-year plan!! And, yes, the streets are that narrow and the sea cliffs that magnificent!!

Brilliant writing. Engaging characters (except for snotty, troublemaking 'Edith' :/ ). Wonderful actors... Plain and simple - superior entertainment. Addictive. So - Martin & Louisa... will they work it out, for crying out loud? Stay tuned... FIVE STARS.
