I had to keep checking to make sure I didn’t miss that this book was set in the 1960s… It wasn’t. But there’s no way to explain how the police never check street cameras, never ran checks on cars while they were following them. And his description of how journalists write and operate is like something out of a 12-year-old girls diary of someone being mean to her. What a waste of time.
The Audiobook CD was okay – but not one of my favorites.
This novel was too long, depressing and uninspiring for my taste. 3 of 10 stars
Lescroart writes with detail and surprise. The ending is never what you would expect.
You must read all of his books. I recommend reading them in order as he maintains the same main characters in each novel.
