"My name is Legion," he replied, "for we are many."-Mark 5: 9
Probably the best of the rebel angel apocalyptic action movies. Paul Bettany plays the angel Michael who refuses to obey God's order to wipe out mankind. As with "The Terminator," a film it kinda blatantly rips off, it all hinges on an unborn child that the evil forces (Well, actually God's forces) want to destroy. I'm not sure how sound the theology is behind this film, but for ridiculous supernatural action movies, it's pretty good. There's a particuarly effective scene with a possessed old lady in a diner. The supporting cast includes Tyrese Gibson, Lucas Black (both "Fast & the Furious" alums), Dennis Quaid, Charles S. Dutton, and Kevin Durand as the angel Gabriel. You might also like "The Prophecy," "Warlock," and the Book of Revelation. Bettany and director Scott Stewart would do another spiritual action movie together called "Priest."

Great action thriller with a supernatural edge!

The prequel to the new show Dominion!

Good start, low budget middle with hohum ending. One Angel gave what God asked for and the other gave what God needed.

Ok not horrible but not great. Cast was interesting. Has potential just doesn't add up to it.

Eh. Cheesy 'B' movie-ish dud. The best part was the old lady climbing on the ceiling. :)

So-so film. I don't usually watch fantasy/horror films, but picked this one up mostly because of the recognizable cast (Bettany, Durand, Dutton, Quaid, Walsh). // Plot approximates a mash-up of modern-day versions of the nativity (a new saviour is born to a young "couple" who redeem God's faith in mankind) and Armageddon (firepower and brimstone, courtesy of a legion of well-armed angels and a few die-hards). // Action and special effects are adequate, but plot and performances are disappointing.

As far as an action film goes, it was pretty cool, the efects we're great and amazing CGI graphics keep you interested if that's your thing (it is my thing for sure, effects in sci-fi these days are mindblowing but stories are very lacking nowadays simply because most tales/stories have been told in some form or another making it difficult to impress anyone with a unique story anymore)
So if you want to just watch a cool action movie where you don't care about the theology or distorting of religion/bible stuff then you'll enjoy it....but if you are a religious person I wouldn't recommend watching Legion, it will probably offend you

Entertaining enough, but story is kind of lame.

Poor plot. Hard to believe angels require guns.
