Mr. and Mrs. Fox live a happy home life underground with their eccentric son Ash. Mr. Fox works as a journalist, but against the advice of Badger, his attorney, he moves his family into a larger and finer home inside a tree on a hill. The treehouse has an excellent view of the nearby farms of Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. Ash becomes hostile when his cousin, Kristofferson, joins the family for an extended stay. Mr. Fox decides to raid the farms, but this leads the farmers to stakeout the treehouse. The farmers try to dig the Fox family out, but they dig even faster. Mr. Fox organizes a tunneling project to burrow under all three farms and steal all the chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.

This movie is so cool I watched it twice. There's something so special about stop-motion animation, especially with the furry creatures.

After viewing this, I bought my own copy. I'm sure there's other animations that can better entertain kids but not with Wes A's distinctive style. The reaction of Mr. Fox when he's told he is to be a father had me LOL! All other characters are very relatable. His interactions with a badger cohort evokes the fun Clooney & company must have had voicing this adventure.

The movie is broken so we were unable to view it ....I've attached a note (for return) asking the library to replace it. I wonder why people don't notify the library when an item is damaged!!

This animated film is, well, fantastic. I recommend it for tweens, teens and especially adults. I think the humor is mainly geared to an older audience. It was directed by Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, etc.). The cast of voices is wonderful, including George Clooney and Meryl Streep voicing Mr. and Mrs. Fox. I have not read the children's fiction book of the same title on which it was based. The book was written by Roald Dahl (The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and many more). The movie is rated PG for action, smoking and slang humor.

I contend to this day that the Fantastic Mr. Fox film is the greatest film to ever be created. Wes Anderson has directed a masterful rendition of the classic Fantastic Mr. Fox book by Roald Dahl, with multi-generational appeal, charm and poignancy. Visually, this film is stunningly beautiful; story-telling-wise, this film is extraordinarily clever, wry, whimsical, and fanciful. As with many of Wes Anderson’s movies, this piece of art is carefully composed to create a composition never dull, dually heartbreaking and heart-warming. This film can only be described as a contemporary masterpiece, and although it may be breathtaking after a first viewing, it ripens even further with a second – or even a tenth. - @FalcoLombardi of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Wes Anderson's movie adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's book, Fantastic Mr. Fox! Anyone familiar with Wes Anderson films would be aware of his dry humor and style. Even though this is based off of a children's book, I'd recommend this more for mature children. Adults will find this entertaining for sure. This quirky animated comedy features a great cast and art direction. Worth checking out for a few laughs and entertainment.

Funny, typical Wes' dry sense of humour.

The entertainment value comes from the corniness, so it's actually got some laughs. Foxes move very weirdly(funny), and humans are freakishly hilarious(funnier). It's just funny because it's not .

Boggis and Bunce and Bean. One fat, one short, one lean. These horrible crooks, so different in looks, were nonetheless equally mean.
