One of the better Western movies I've seen in awhile. Quite surprised when I saw our local Wainwright Hotel in Calgary's Heritage Park, and what must also be our local mountains, and foothills etc.

Two men fight over whether Wyoming should become a state, meanwhile one of them is beating and maiming the other man's prized horses. It starts with maiming of two beautiful horses and there was no trailer stating that "no animals were harmed in the making of this film" (filmed in Canada). The script was written by one of Cusack's relatives. After the horses were maimed I didn't care what happened to either one of these jerks.

Kind of a Little House on the Prairie vibe.
