It's an interesting and full of adventures series of books for my son, who just turned 10. He enjoys reading it ..
I read it as well and I think it is a nice light book to read for adults too. The story is full of fantasy and there are interesting drawings to make the story more vivid.

Full of detail, imaginative, yet still short and sweet, I would recommend this book for any fantasy series fan, and fantasy series “shoppers”, no matter how reluctant ages 8-13.

Thimbletack: I die. You die. We all die. Bye-bye.

This is my favourite book in the series. It has strong characters and introduces us to the Spiderwick family. The heroes must find the book that Spiderwick wrote, and learn to trust each other and forgive past grievances. We are also introduced to the world of fairies, and to the one helper that will remain true to the family through all their adventures. The end of the book is defiantly a cliff hanger, so you will have to get the next book in order to find out what happens.
