This is almost one of the greatest Christmas movie I have ever seen. The song is just as great.

Layton household, where father Robert (Rob Lowe, The West Wing) who is working late and misses his daughters program. Maggie Andrews (Kimberly Williams) has been diagnosed with a fatal heart ailment. Maggie's son Nathan wants to buy her a pair of dancing shoes. Both families cross paths.... Story is heartwarming and you will need something to dry your eyes.

I love this movie! As someone who lost her mother young, it brought back so many memories for me. Realistic and heart warming and wrenching at the same time.

This is one of the only movies to ever make me cry.... i'm not one of those people that have a break down at every corner. To tell you the truth to see me cry is one of those things that friends (that i've had for many a years) have not seen. Taken this, i'm only left to conclude that "The Christmas Shoes" is a movie that only gives one the true meaning of Christmas, but pulls at your heart strings... it makes you feel something for another person (even if this person doesn't exist, the feeling is still there.) I highly recommend this movie for every single person.... it doesn't matter if you are going through a good time, a bad time, or just getting along. "The Christmas Shoes" is a movie that the power to enlight everyone's life
When it comes to the sequel, however, it is not the worst the movie i have ever seen, but its' not the best either. I found myself wondering the point of it. It was almost like it was one of those movies (sequels) made only to make money from the people who loved the first one. This is just my opinion, however, i do not recommend the sequel, "The Christmas Blessing" to anyone on this side of this green planet of mine.
