This series just gets more sad and more complex, it's unlike anything I've ever read.

I liked this book a lot. The only thing I didn't like about it was how quiet Hector was and how he never spoke up. I also didn't like how the Baudelaires were framed for murder and through the rest of the series (so far, I have only read to book 10) they have to lie low because everyone thinks they are murderers. This book has puzzles, adventure, and dramatic irony. I liked it a lot and I hope you will, too! :)

this book was amazing, and although I was mildly frustrated at the V.F.D. town council, i loved how at the end, you really notice how much she's developed since the "bad beginning".

This episode is filled with great phrases like "bolt out of the blue" and "entertaining a notion" and vocabulary of Lemony Snicket's readers continues to expand.

Love all the couplets from the Quagmire triplets and hate how easily Count Olaf and his minions continue to stymie the efforts of the Baudelaires to escape his clutches for good.

This next misadventure of the Baudelaires literally has them living out the saying "It takes a village ..."
