Possibly Scorcese's most underrated film. Ranks up there with Taxi Driver. Didn't catch on with the public, possibly because of the bleak and dark world of paramedics. Ranks in top 3 of Roger Ebert's favorite Scorcese films. A subtle performance from Nick Cage in the era when he was regarded still regarded A-list award winning actor. And Ving Rhames steals every scene he's in....

Checked-out this flick but decided not to watch. Nick Cage is starting to get on my nerves. Watch "Drive Angry" - sounds like about the same premise.

Not at the top of my list for Scorsese flicks, but different... Opened my eyes as to the horribly monotonous and depressing career of EMS people (NYC EMS, anyways.). Nic Cage was his typical over-the-top self. I found Patricia Arquette's character's edgy vulnerability very engaging and somehow attractive in a bizarre way. Can't really explain that one too well... :/

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
