I know that some people may find this movie entertaining. I did not. I don't think that a movie cast with good actresses in their 60's, 70's and eighties being fools to their sexual appetites is funny. It actually made me angry watching Candice Bergen make an absolute fool of herself, Jane Fonda trying too hard to be sexy, Mary Steenburgen being so horny that she puts Viagra in her husbands food unbeknownst to him which results in one of the most lamentable scenes in the movie and Diane Keaton being a simpering annoying little girl woman.
This movie sets a tone that feels like a way back machine when it was okay with some people to believe the lie that women were only content when they were satisfied and partnered up with someone.
I am not a prig or a killjoy. This movie was low.

The comment that said this movie must be geared towards the older generation must be correct because there are a lot of us out there and this movie was so funny. Not all movies have to have depth; sometimes you just want to be entertained with humour. When you have lived and experienced a fairly long life then you can see how really funny this movie is. It definitely wasn't saying that you need a man to be happy but rather you can still be an attractive and independent older woman. I give this movie 5 stars because I laughed all the way through.

I didn't expect a lot from this movie and was pleasantly surprised. All rom-coms have a certain level of predictability to them, and this one was fairly typical in that regard, but I thought it was a lot of fun and I laughed a lot. It was quite enjoyable to see these familiar favorite actresses in a scenario of empowering their "senior" romantic selves in the modern climate of cell phones, internet dating, and "50 Shades of Grey." Candice Bergen in particular was especially fun to watch, but I thought they all did a good job.

I'm probably not the target age for this movie (I'm mid 40's) but man, was this BORING. Total fluff and no real story line that I cared about. I found the whole story line with Mary Steenburgen and Craig T. Nelson cringe inducing and insulting to couples who are dealing with the issues their characters were dealing with....actually, I could say the same about Diane Keaton's character as well.

Meh. I agree with others that this was a waste of talented actors. Characters had no depth, and "happy ending" indicates that women must all be partnered to be happy. Some hard to believe moments: Candice Bergen's character is a judge and somehow can't figure out how to take a picture of herself (or not) for online dating. Diane Keaton's character dressed exactly like Diane Keaton! And her adult children didn't think she was capable of driving cross country or living alone--why?? She wasn't showing signs of dementia or anything. I could keep going, but will end with wishing a really smart movie about smart women could have been made instead.

Can I give this no stars at all. Simply bad all around.

The strength of the women in their long standing friendship is the only good part of this flick.

Sadly perpetuating someone's myth that to be complete a woman must find a man.

I am reminded of an old fridge magnet from back in the day: A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle

I was hesitant to watch this when I heard it was about 50 Shades...
but it was much better than I was expecting
and great to see a movie focused on 4 women

Enough comedy to make it worth watching. Geared more for older folks.

Inferior rom-com. Scipt was sub-par and often offensive in a subtle way. Acting was awful and seems like actors and actresses had nothing better to do than simply appear in this film.
Don't understand the type of person this movie could appeal to. Looks like Hollywood has its best days behind it.

I like all the actresses, so wanted to see this movie (also, gave Hollywood points for this not being a super hero or excessively violent film). So here's damning with faint praise: it was pleasant. But it was also predictable and somewhat silly. Enjoyed seeing Candice Bergman who hasn't been in movies in years (although I hear she is coming back to TV). Glad I didn't pay to see this or waste time in the movie theater. Much better watching at home!!
