Too many characters, too long, buried in frizzy glamour, capped with a confusing, unsatisfying conclusion.

Unless you watched the Easter Egg in the final credits of Thor Ragnorok, you did not get the time and place of Thanos and the Asgardians battle or why the Hulk would even be there on the ship. I did enjoy the movie and the second part should be interesting. I hope they do not forget the Fantastic Four in the next movie as they are always promoting Nick Fury, but never show the FF4. I loved Stan Lee as the school bus driver for Spider-Man. He does make amusing cameos and will be sad when he is no longer available.

Magnificent. As good as The Avengers, for slightly different reasons. It's amazing what Marvel and Disney have accomplished since 2006, and the 'final' battle and cliffhanger are absolutely fantastic. This will be remembered as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.

A long queue of big name stars in their famed Avenger and Guardians of the Galaxy characters joined forces to obstruct Thanos and his henchmen from amassing the all-powerful Infinity Stones to "re-balance the universe". Hats off to the genius of the director, writers and actors to incorporate just about all the MCU superheroes in this creative Sci-Fi.

Infinity War, its box office success and the fact that even the Oscars are creating a new category specifically for these types of movies are indicative that superhero movies have moved out of "Science fiction", "Fantasy" and "Action" and are now a genre in their own right. For better or worst.
The 3rd Avengers movie was built on the the accumulation of dozens of other movies over a decade in the making. Considering the amount of characters and converging plots in this movie, there shouldn't have been a way to pull it off without either confusing people unfamiliar with the original Infinity War comic event or annoying gatekeeper comic fans. Somehow, someway, Infinity War pulls it off. That alone merits an extra half star. The movie is actually only 1/2 of a story, with Avengers 4 to premiere a year after Infintity War. In most films, this cheapens the vieweing experience. In 'split story' movies like the Hobbit, viewers can tell the story is being drawn out for more ticket sales a short way down the road. That doesn't happen with Infinity War. If you had no knowledge of the source material, you would never see the ending coming. In my opinion, fact that Marvel/Disney was able to meet the hype and make everyone happy earns the movie extra points. Even if just for the fact that it's never happened before.

For such a mammoth and herculean undertaking, something that is essentially a first-time-ever endeavor and such a huge achievement, I personally feel 0% interested in nitpicking. The majority of flaws I detected are just too minor to stand in the face of something so impressive, so I will happily ignore these. There were a couple frustrating moments, but quite frankly I just don't care enough to mention them. Juggling so many well-developed characters, rewarding the audience for having followed the story so far, and presenting such an interesting and believable (though psychotic) supervillian was simply awesome. Do I think the ending is permanent? Of course not, but viewed from the perspective of the characters the ending was simply devastating. And yeah, I am very glad we don't have to wait 4 years for the next one.

Movie could have gone for another 10 hours and I would have watched and re-watched every second. If you have stayed current with all the Marvel movies in the past 10 years, this is a huge payoff.

The third Avengers movie and 19th film of the MCU does not disappoint. As one might expect from an Avengers movie, all your favorites are here. Very nearly literally all of them. Only a couple of A-listers are absent from the entire MCU, making this perhaps the largest crossover event in film history. The ensemble cast each get their screen time and at least a couple moments to shine. With so many characters to cover they still manage to make one interconnected story line that never leaves you bored. That is no small accomplishment for a film that is well over the 2 hour mark.

You don't need to have seen all other 18 MCU movies to enjoy Infinity War, but the more you have seen the more you will be able to get out of it. In my opinion the most important movies to watch before this (in no particular order) are Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers 1 & 2, Captain America: Civil War, and Guardians of the Galaxy 1. Runner ups are Black Panther and Doctor Strange.

Hear me... and rejoice. You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan... You may think this is suffering... No. It is salvation... Universal scales, tipped toward balance because of your sacrifice... Smile, for even in death you have become children of Thanos.
