Very touching story of the author and his father and their time spend building a coffin. The author did a great job of putting his father's personality onto paper.

I always like a quirky memoir, but this one was especially good. The author managed to make a book about making his own coffin poignant without being morbid. It was also much funnier than you'd expect. David Giffels has a great 'voice' which makes reading this book a pleasure.

Tender, charming and even humorous memoir about crafting a coffin whilst exploring the depths of a father and son's relationship.
