Unreadably dull. I read three paragraphs on three different pages because I kept thinking "This book can't be THIS bad!" Ugh! Awful! I'm an amateur genealogist and this taught me NOTHING. If you want an excellent primer on how the distinct sections of the U.S. were founded, read "American Nations" by Colin Woodard, which is outstanding.
