I wasn’t expecting much from this story, I thought it would be a bit flimsy in plot and substance but it’s not exactly a book to ignore when you’re reading through the Gothic classics.
I found myself quite enjoying the story though. Why the women in these novels are always so willing to forgive is beyond me and why they don’t ever expect something bad to happen is incomprehensible but it was over the top fun and a cute romance.
