I think I liked this book more than most of the other reviewers, though I do acknowledge it had some weaknesses. The main characters were very unlikeable: cliqueish, mean girls who we all hated in high school. And the premise of the "Lying Game" was silly, and fizzled out early in the story. But the basic story line was interesting: four friends who, as adults, had to face the consequences of an unfortunate decision years ago. And I thought the ending was worth the read!

I liked this book although I acknowledge some weaknesses. The four protagonists were not particularly likable in the earlier chapters. Two of them grew up to be more 'normal', two continued to have 'issues'.

The story was not a psychological thriller. Nonetheless I was surprised at the twist at the end.

Highly over-rated novel by the author. You are better to wait!

Did not like this book at all. It seemed like a mixtures of notes and descriptions all mixed together to make a story. I definitely will not read any more books published by this author.

I normally hate giving such low ratings on books but I feel this time I must. It was hard to follow as she kept jumping past & present & it's not even by chapter like some authors do. When you get to the climax you just kinda think I read that for what??

Yet another highly overrated novel by Mrs. Ware. Not worth the extremely long wait period. Would recommend waiting a few months before placing hold. I did not like the characters and the plot. The only novel by the author that I did "like" was Dark Dark Woods.

"The Woman in Cabin 10" seemed soooo overrated; now here's another! Full disclosure: I read only the first 90 pages of "The Lying Game". It was formulaic and trite. life is too short-

What a disappointment. I cannot believe this is being marketed as a psychological thriller. The characters may be mental but there's nothing thrilling about it.
