As someone new to feminism I had to take this book in slowly; I'd read a few pages then put it down for a day or two. It's a lot to handle for someone coming from a fundamentalist background, a bit too new-age for my limited experiences, but I embraced it as well as I could. And while I may not be dancing on a beach any time soon, I have emerged from this book with a changed view of the Deity, which is a tremendous feat for such a small book.

This is a life changer of a book for me. The realization of how much patriarchy dictates the lives of those of us who live in it was completely off my radar. If your someone who lives in a patriarchal society it will at least shine a light. You may also need sunglasses!
If it doesn't make you think then you are probably one of the people that benefit from the patriarchal system and prefer to keep your blinders on.
