-- Commander Mark Bishop Mark wants someone to come home to after sea patrols. The woman he has in mind is young, with a lovely smile, and very Gina Gray would love to be married. She has always envisioned her life that way. A breakup she didn't see coming, though, has her focusing all her attention on what she does best--ocean science research. She's on the cusp of a major breakthrough, and she needs Mark Bishop's perspective and help. Because what she told the Navy she's figured out is only the beginning. If she's right, submarine warfare is about to enter a new and dangerous chapter.

After my last experience with a Henderson book (full Disclosure which was the slowest book I've ever read) , I am trying one of her books again. I mean, really trying to get into it.

Dee Henderson's creativity is apparent as she develops her scientific-sub related plot. The characters are well developed but rather unique in their personalities and traits. Mark and Gina do make for an interesting read--especially if the reader is looking for something a little different.

An awesome book. Just a bit over my head with her being a genius and her knowledge of sonar for subs.

Dee's books are typically a mixture of Tom Clancy and Karen Kingsbury......lots of research and details on the career of the main characters and the developing relationship between them. I love all of her books and this one was one of my favorites, along with Full Disclosure!

I have to say I thought this one was as bad as Full Disclosure. Boring, very odd romance, overly full of details that aren't necessary at all for the story. Nothing like the books she used to write, that's for sure. The Witness was her best.

An interesting book in the style of Full Disclosure. Engaging characters. A thoroughly satisfying read.
